FREE FILE - New Service from the IRS

The IRS is providing a free website for you to file your taxes online called Free File. 
On the IRS website...

  • Click on the "Individuals" tab at the top left side of the screen
  • then click on  "1040 Central" to access Free File.

   Select Individual  from Tax Information column then Forms+Instructions choose Form 37.

to post offices or city halls. For the past several
years public and academic libraries have been
the main distribution points for Federal tax forms

Ohio Benefit Bank

File Your Taxes for Free and Keep Your Whole Refund!

The Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) offers free federal and state tax filing programs to anyone whose household income is under $54,000. You can file online and receive your refund in 7 to 10 days with no fees or other charges. Call 1-800-648-1176 or go to their website for a self-serve filing program or to find a local site. The OBB is offered through a public-private partnership between the Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks and more than 400 faith-based, non-profit, governmental and private-sector partners.



Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition

Do you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit?

The Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition is a local group that is funded by the Cuyahoga County Commissioners that does free income tax preparation for anyone who qualifies for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EITC is a refundable tax credit available to working adults (without children– earning up to $14,120; those with families of at least two children– earning up to $38,348). Tax preparation is done at the Coalition's many free tax sites.
